Private Group Japanese Calligraphy Experience in Roppongi, Tokyo

Each group of 16 guests enjoyed a private calligraphy session at Shodocafe7557.

Using traditional Japanese brushes and ink, each guest selected a favorite Kanji and practiced the basic brush techniques before creating their final piece.

The finished calligraphy was then mounted as an original Japanese-style hanging scroll, creating a special piece of art to take home as a memory of their time in Japan.

No previous calligraphy experience is necessary, and our staff provides English support throughout the experience.

From Handwritten Kanji to a Custom T-Shirt

The experience did not end with the hanging scroll.

Guests also had the opportunity to transform their own handwritten Kanji into an original T-shirt.

After completing their calligraphy, the selected artwork was converted into a printable design and used to create a personalized T-shirt.

We produced 16 custom T-shirts each day — 32 T-shirts in total.
