No. Our instructor writes the kanji outline for you and guides stroke order step-by-step.

Can children join?

Yes, ages 6 +. A guardian must accompany children under 10.

Is English support available?

Yes, our staff speaks English, and international guests are very welcome.
Please note that our workshops are currently available only for international visitors. We do not offer sessions for domestic (Japanese) guests at this time.

Sorry, tools stay in the studio, but you may purchase a beginner brush kit on-site.

I’d like a longer session—possible?

Yes. We also offer our regular calligraphy course, which averages 90 minutes and lets you create a hanging scroll (kakejiku) to take home.
